This particular scribble,done in 2008 by Joscelyne Ambrose, is on paper with carbon paper underneath creating an automatic copy that I eventually used color pencils on to bring forward a scene. In the foreground is the limousine driver in a green scarf that is billowing in the wind from right to left. He is holding the door open as the socialite returns from the shopping center behind her, complete with fashion glasses and coat draped over her arm. Introduced to the Scribble Technique early in his art career, he believed the images he was finding were a kind of super power - the result of much comic book reading. The year was 1988 and at least a half dozen drawings exist from this period. Contributing to the rich history of the Scribble, Ismael created a vocabulary where there was none; unlike tea leaf reading, which has a name (Tasseography) the reading of scribbles had no title, simply a descriptive - the scribble technique.
